Empowering Learning are currently looking for a SEMH Primary Teacher to work within a SEMH primary school in Wandsworth for as soon as possible. We are looking for an outstanding and experienced teacher, who is dedicated to supporting children with various special needs. Our school supports children with various learning abilities and social, emotional and mental health, so experience of working with a range of special needs and SEMH would be desirable. We would be looking for a dynamic teacher who can work across various age groups within primary school age.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and asses outstanding teaching and learning using proven methods and approaches that enable SEND students to learn.
  • Be a class tutor, ensuring all needs are met and establish excellent relationships with parents and carers.
  • Engage and motivate people
  • Inspire trust and confidence in pupils, colleagues, parents and other professionals.
  • Build team commitment with colleagues and in the classroom.
  • Promote wider aspirations and values of the school.
  • Engage in school activities as required by the headmaster.
  • Plan and lead children in off-site enrichment activities.
  • Ensure you uphold all safeguarding procedures, including engaging in annual safeguarding training, including induction training.

You must have:

  • Successful class teaching experience.
  • Experience working with children with SEND, autism, ADHD or SLD
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Am excellent knowledge of the specialist curriculum area and how it may be effectively taught.
  • A degree.
  • A QTS.
