Title: SEN Mentor

Contract: Full-time, Monday - Friday,

Location : Lewisham

Rate: £90 - £105 per day

Interview: Paid Trial Day

We are recruiting for a dedicated SEN Mentor to work at one of our leading secondary SEN Secondary schools. You will be working as SEN Mentor supporting ASD learners in a 1:1. The schools delivers the best academic learning experience for SEN students and we want you to excel in this environment.

Key Responsibilities | SEN Mentor

  • Assisting students in cultivating their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Collaborating with the class teacher, SENCO, and multidisciplinary professionals (e.g., Educational Psychologists) to monitor and advance student progress.
  • Contributing to the creation of an inclusive, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Supporting students across various year groups with diverse needs, including Autism, ADHD, and mental health challenges.

Ideal Candidate | SEN Mentor

  • Holds a degree in, Special needs, Psychology, Education, or a related discipline (advantageous).
  • Prior experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential).
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Compassionate, proactive, and driven, with a genuine passion for working with vulnerable learners.
  • Aspiring to build a career in Clinical or Educational Psychology, Counselling, or Pastoral Care.
