Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Merton, London

Salary: £150 - £200 per day

Role and Responsibilities:

As a SEN Teacher, you will work closely with students with Special Educational Needs, providing tailored support to help them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching a classroom of children with unique challenges and strengths
  • Implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborating with the SENCO and other staff members to address individual needs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEN is highly desirable.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or related fields (PGCE or QTS highly desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Passion for supporting the educational development of students with diverse needs.
  • Possess empathy, compassion and resilience.
