GSL Education London Branch are seeking a committed Social Educational Needs (SEN) Supply Teacher to join a vibrant school in Islington. This is a fantastic opportunity to create a lasting impact on our students’ lives while embracing a rewarding teaching journey.

About the role:
As a SEN Supply Teacher, you will provide tailored educational support to students with special educational needs, adapting lessons to meet diverse learning styles and abilities. You will create an inclusive, positive classroom environment that fosters students' academic and personal growth. In this role, flexibility and understanding are key to addressing individual challenges and promoting each student's success.

Responsibilities of the SEN Supply Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEN.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods, as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide support to students during lessons and assist with their personal care when required.
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.

Requirements of the SEN Supply Teacher:

  • Prior experience working in an SEN setting is preferable.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different learning environments.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
