SEN Teacher – Additional Resource Provision (ARP) – Brixton – September Start 

Pertemps Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join an Additional Resource Provision (ARP) within a welcoming mainstream primary school in Brixton. This ARP supports children with complex needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH, who require specialist intervention within a nurturing and inclusive setting.  

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact within a caring and collaborative environment. 

  • Location: Brixton
  • Contract: Full-time, Long-term 
  • Salary: £38,000 – £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience) 
  • Interview Date: Immediate 
  • Start Date: September 

The Role: 

  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons for pupils within the ARP, adapting the curriculum to meet individual learning needs. 
  • Create a structured and inclusive classroom environment that promotes emotional wellbeing and academic growth. 
  • Work closely with the school’s SENCO, therapists, and support staff to deliver holistic support for each child. 
  • Use a range of strategies, including visuals, sensory tools, and behaviour support techniques, to meet a variety of learning and behavioural needs. 
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, fostering confidence and a sense of belonging within the school community. 
  • Support pupils’ reintegration into the mainstream classroom when appropriate. 

The Ideal Candidate: 

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. 
  • Has experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other complex needs, ideally within an ARP or SEN setting. 
  • Confident in using positive behaviour support and de-escalation techniques. 
  • Skilled in differentiation and creating individualised learning plans. 
  • A reflective, empathetic, and resilient practitioner who thrives in a team-oriented environment.
