About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive school in Hackney. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher to make a real difference in the lives of students with special educational needs (SEN). The successful candidate will work closely with a team of professionals to provide tailored support to students and help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons for students with SEN.
  • Provide individualised support for students with a range of learning difficulties and additional needs.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff members to ensure students’ needs are met.
  • Maintain clear communication with parents, carers, and other professionals involved in the students’ education.
  • Implement strategies to promote inclusion, participation, and engagement in the classroom.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting teaching approaches as needed.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with SEN (experience in SEMH, ASD, or other specific needs is desirable).
  • Strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
