About Us:We are a supportive and dynamic Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) located in East London, committed to providing a high-quality education to students who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream schools. Our learners have a variety of needs, including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, alongside other Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The Role:As an SEN Teacher at our PRU, you will:
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with a range of SEN, including SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
- Provide a safe, supportive, and structured environment to foster positive learning experiences.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including support staff, therapists, and external agencies, to implement tailored educational plans and behaviour strategies.
- Monitor progress and set realistic targets for academic, social, and emotional development.
- Encourage positive behaviour and manage challenging situations in line with the schools policies.
- Develop strong relationships with students, parents, carers, and the wider community to ensure holistic support for the childs learning journey.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with SEMH and complex needs.
- A strong understanding of the challenges faced by pupils in a PRU setting.
- Excellent behaviour management skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- A creative and flexible approach to teaching, able to adapt to the varying needs of each child.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
