SEN Teacher - Key Stage 1 and 2 Specialist Unit - Tower Hamlets

Are you passionate about working with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are currently supporting a mainstream primary school in Tower Hamlets, seeking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their specialist provision. This role focuses on providing tailored support to children across Key Stage 1 and 2 within a nurturing and inclusive environment.

As a SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in empowering children with diverse needs, helping them to reach their full potential. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to a positive learning experience, where each child's academic, social, and emotional development is supported.

You will be supported by a team consisting of a HLTA and SEN TA's, with no more than 10 children in each group, closely grouped by age.

Location: Tower Hamlets, East London
Position: SEN Teacher - Specialist Unit (KS1 & KS2)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of children with SEN, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, PMLD and other learning difficulties.
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive environment that promotes the social and emotional well-being of all students.
  • Work closely with classroom teachers, teaching assistants, and SENCO to provide a cohesive and effective learning experience.
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and track student progress, adapting strategies as needed.
  • Use a range of specialized resources and strategies to engage students with different learning styles.

Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEN in a primary school setting is essential. Expertise across Key Stage 1 and 2 is highly desirable.
