SEN Supply Teacher

  • Daily Rate: £140 - £180
  • Location: Tower Hamlets, London
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Working Hours: 8:30am - 4pm, Monday to Friday

We are currently seeking dedicated and flexible Supply SEN Teachers for positions in the Tower Hamlets area. This role is suitable for those who are available to work a minimum of 2 days per week, with the potential to work up to 5 days. There are opportunities for both full-time and part-time commitments, with the possibility of long-term or permanent placements.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Be ready for early morning calls at 7am to prepare for daily assignments.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver individualised lessons that cater to the specific needs of students with a range of SEN.
  • Assess and record students’ progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and specialists to develop support plans that enhance students’ educational experiences.
  • Create a supportive, understanding, and patient classroom environment.
  • Implement behavioural management strategies and individualised reward systems.
  • Stay updated with the latest teaching resources and methodologies for SEN education.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working as an SEN Teacher or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the SEN code of practice and experience with EHCPs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of students with SEN.
  • Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching and making a difference.
