We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our supportive school team. The successful candidate will work with pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN), and learning delays. If you are passionate about providing personalised support and creating an inclusive learning environment, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver tailored lessons that address the individual needs of pupils with ASD, SLCN, and learning delays.
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment where pupils feel safe and empowered to learn.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and strategies to engage pupils and promote their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Assess pupil progress regularly and provide timely, constructive feedback to support learning and development.
  • Work closely with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure pupils receive the appropriate support and interventions.
  • Develop and implement personalised education plans (IEPs) to support individual pupil needs.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, encouraging self-confidence and independence in their learning.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with pupils with special educational needs, particularly those with ASD, SLCN, and learning delays.
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and personalised teaching approaches.
  • Compassionate, patient, and creative approach to teaching.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
