The Role:

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Work closely with teaching assistants, SEN coordinators, and other professionals to create personalized learning pathways.
  • Foster an inclusive and safe classroom environment that promotes emotional and academic growth.
  • Monitor and assess students’ progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary to ensure each student’s success.
  • Engage with parents and carers to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs in either a mainstream or special school setting.
  • A deep understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEN and a passion for making a positive difference in their lives.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive, solution-focused approach.
  • A commitment to professional development and a proactive attitude toward new teaching strategies and techniques.
