An outstanding secondary special school in Ealing for pupils who have complex disabilities, including profound and multiple learning and physical disabilities, severe learning difficulties, and complex autism are seeking a qualified teacher to join them ASAP. It’s a full time, term time role with a view of becoming permanent for the right applicant.

The school is a forward-thinking, vibrant, caring, inclusive and diverse school providing students a happy, joyful, creative environment supporting their students to have the skills that will benefit them in their adult lives.

The Senior Leaders are looking for a committed, excellent teacher who teaches through a joyful and playful approach and is committed to a non-punitive and gentle approach to behaviour support.

You will also:

  • Have a calm and gentle approach to behaviour support.
  • Be able to work both independently and as a part of a larger team.
  • Have had experience in managing working with and directing Teaching assistants
  • Have creativity and a love for exciting lessons.

  • Contribute to all aspects of the school.
  • Have a willingness to develop and improve

You must be happy to teach students with a variety of complex disabilities including students with profound and multiple learning disabilities, complex severe learning disabilities with and without autism.

To be successful, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • SEN Teaching experience (highly desirable)
  • UK teaching experience
  • Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service
  • Good to outstanding teaching practice
  • Good knowledge of SEN practices
