GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to work in a special school in Redbridge. If you are passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and committed to making a positive impact, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and group tuition to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Tailor lessons to meet the individual needs of students, ensuring that each child receives the support they need.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to develop personalised learning plans.
  • Encourage and motivate students, helping them to build self-confidence and achieve their academic goals.
  • Track and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods to ensure effective learning.
  • Support students with emotional, social, and behavioural challenges.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience working as a tutor, teacher, or teaching assistant in a SEN setting.
  • A strong understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and how to support students with varying abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt your approach depending on the student's needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students overcome their challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with other staff members.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
