Position: SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)Location: HaringeySalary: £63,000 - £67,000Start Date: ASAP

We are currently working alongside a developed mainstream Secondary School in Haringey looking for an experienced SENCO to join their team. Are you an experienced education professional with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs? This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the students while contributing to an inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate special educational needs provision across the school.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support students.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) & Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Leading and managing staff within SEN
  • Monitor and track student progress, ensuring tailored support is provided.
  • In class teaching across the curriculum
  • Making referrals
  • Collaborate with staff to create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Experience teaching in a secondary school setting
  • A SENCO qualification or actively working towards gaining one
  • QTS not essential but desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of SEN needs
  • A commitment to promoting inclusivity and student wellbeing.
