Position: Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) LecturerLocation: Westminster, London

Morgan Hunt are working with a leading further education and training college in Westminster who are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Lecturer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, helping them reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities of a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Lecturer:
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons to students with SEND across various levels and subjects
  • Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet the individual needs of students
  • Support students in achieving their personal and academic goals
  • Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Work closely with the wider college team to ensure the provision of tailored learning support
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to reports
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, fostering student confidence and motivation
Essential Requirements of a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Lecturer:
  • Relevant full UK recognised teaching qualifications (PGCE, DTLLS, or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching students with SEND in a further education and training or school setting
  • Strong knowledge of SEND strategies, regulations and best practices
  • Passion for supporting and empowering students with diverse learning needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Additional Requirement for the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Lecturer:
