Are you a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf with a passion for making a significant impact on the lives of primary aged deaf pupils? We are seeking a qualified Teacher of the Deaf to join an Outstanding Primary School in Tower Hamlets. This role is perfect for an experienced educator ready to support deaf pupils academically and enhance their learning experience in both resource and mainstream settings.

About the Role

In this rewarding position, you will work within the HI Provision, supporting up to 11 pupils across Key Stage 2. Located in a three-form entry, OFSTED-rated Outstanding Primary School, you'll have the opportunity to teach students with moderate to profound deafness. The ideal candidate must hold a Teacher of the Deaf (TOD) qualification, as this position requires expertise in delivering effective education tailored to the needs of hearing-impaired students.

Ideal Candidate

Qualified Teacher of the Deaf (TOD) certification is essential

Minimum of Level 2 British Sign Language qualification

Postgraduate-level teaching qualification

Proficient in a total communication approach, employing various strategies

Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum, including Literacy, Numeracy, and Science

Committed to supporting Hearing Impaired students in a mainstream school environment
