SEN Tutor (Part-Time)

We are looking for SEN Tutors to provide tailored 1:1 support for students with Special Educational Needs. This part-time role focuses on enhancing the student's understanding and engagement with core subjects, fostering both academic success and personal growth.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Design and implement individualised educational plans that cater to the specific needs of the SEN student.
  • Engage the student with interactive and adaptive teaching methods suitable for their learning style and capabilities.
  • Regularly assess the student's progress and adjust teaching strategies to maximise effectiveness.
  • Provide consistent feedback to parents or guardians regarding the student's development and any additional support needed.
  • Create a supportive and understanding environment to help the student achieve their goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred.
  • Experience in working with students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Strong knowledge of various curriculum and adaptive teaching practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient and motivating teaching approach.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and a DBS on the update service
