The overall responsibility in thisRecovery Nurserole is to provide critical care to your patients post-surgery. Reporting to the Theatre Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that a high standard of care is always maintained within the Theatre department.
In your first few weeks in this Recovery Nurse role, you can expect to:
- Provide critical care to your patients post-surgery.
- Assist in the development and implementation of high standards of clinical practice in relation to post-operative care.
- Plan the individual care of patients and ensure this care is provided according to strict guidelines.
- Educate each patient in all aspects of their post-operative and after-care plans.
- Act as a support to junior members of staff and offer them guidance when necessary.
To apply for this Recovery Nurse role, you will need to be a Registered RGN with an NMC pin number or ODP with HCPC Registration. You will also require the following:
- Registered RGN with an NMC pin or ODP with HCPC registration
- Experience working in a theatre setting across multiple specialities.
