Role Overview:

As a Primary School Sports Coach, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality sports coaching sessions to children aged 4-11 across a variety of schools. Your role will involve planning, organising, and leading a variety of sports activities, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and a love for sports. You will also play a key role in after school sessions, linked to a range of sports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and age-appropriate sports coaching sessions for primary school children.
  • Plan and organise a diverse range of sports activities, including team games, individual sports, and fitness sessions.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment where all children feel encouraged to participate and develop their skills.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during coaching sessions.
  • Collaborate with school staff to integrate sports into the wider curriculum and school activities.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Coaching Qualification (essential).
  • Proven experience working with children in a coaching capacity, ideally within a school environment.
  • Strong knowledge of a variety of sports and physical activities suitable for primary-aged children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young learners.
  • A passion for sports and physical education, with a commitment to fostering a love for sports in children.
  • First Aid qualification (desirable).
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
