Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Primary Sports Coach to join a vibrant Hackney-based school. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality PE lessons across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) through to Year 6. This is a full-time, temporary position, running until December 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging PE lessons for children in EYFS to Year 6.
  • Promote a healthy, active lifestyle and foster a positive attitude towards physical education.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to support the physical development of students.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students, catering to a variety of abilities.
  • Manage sports equipment and resources effectively.
  • Organise and supervise extra-curricular activities, sports clubs, and school competitions.

Requirements:

  • Experience in coaching or teaching PE in a primary school setting.
  • Relevant coaching qualifications or a degree in Sports Science, PE, or a related field.
  • Passionate about inspiring children to engage in sports and physical activities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
  • A valid DBS check (or willing to undergo one).
