SANZA Teaching Agency is proud to be working with a well-established primary school in Hackney, seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Sports Coach to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to inspire and support students in developing their physical education, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver PE Lessons: Plan and deliver engaging and structured physical education lessons to students across all year groups, ensuring a high standard of physical activity and skill development.
  • After-School Activities: Organise and lead after-school sports clubs and activities, encouraging participation in a variety of sports.
  • Sports Events: Coordinate and manage school sports events, including tournaments and inter-school competitions, fostering school spirit and a love for healthy competition.
  • Individual and Group Coaching: Provide targeted coaching sessions to individuals and small groups, helping students to improve their technique, fitness, and confidence in various sports.
  • Health and Wellbeing Promotion: Encourage students to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle by promoting the importance of physical activity, fitness, and wellbeing.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with teaching staff to integrate physical education into the broader curriculum and support school initiatives.
  • Behaviour Management: Implement positive behaviour management strategies to ensure all activities are safe, inclusive, and enjoyable for all participants.

About You:

Experience: Proven experience as a sports coach, (ideally but not essential) working with children in a primary school setting.

Coaching Qualifications: A relevant sports coaching qualification (e.g., Level 2 or equivalent) is essential.

Passion for Sports: A genuine enthusiasm for sports and physical education, with the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.

Strong Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Organisational Skills: The ability to plan, deliver, and assess a variety of sporting activities and lessons effectively.

Team Player: A collaborative approach, working alongside teachers and support staff to enhance the school's physical education programme.

Safeguarding Awareness: A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
