Adults Support Officer - Homes for Ukraine Team


London Borough of Camden are looking to expand their current team with a dedicated Support Worker looking for an opportunity to join a well-structured and organised team. As well as joining a supportive team our client also offers a competitive salary, flexible work times, opportunities to work remotely and a chance to develop your skills. This Adults Homes for Ukraine Team role will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work alongside the link work team managing the Homes for Ukraine phoneline and email inbox.
  • Conduct initial "settling in" home visits at the start of placements, ensuring the host and guests are the right fit for each other.
  • Complete an initial triage of placements and guests, to assess the support needs of each individual and household.
  • Provide tailored case work support, over the phone and in person, for hosts and guests; ensuring placements continue successfully, and guests have access to all the right support to settle in to Hackney effectively.
  • Helping them to access services such as benefits, work and education, housing, health, and mental health.
  • It will not include children's support, as CFS are taking on responsibility for any families who arrive.

Experience preferred:

  • Minimum of 12 months' experience of working within the Health and Social Care sector as a Support Worker in the UK.

The team:

  • Well-structured organised team, growing their staffing levels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1 year experience in a similar role within the UK
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care
