About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Merchandise Planning Manager to join an innovative fashion retailer. This role is pivotal in driving the merchandise strategy for European retail stores, ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of Merchandisers and Allocators, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Oversee apparel merchandise planning for European retail stores, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Analyse sales trends, stock levels, and customer demand to drive effective stock allocation and replenishment strategies.
- Collaborate closely with buying, supply chain, and retail teams to ensure a seamless flow of stock.
- Develop and implement seasonal merchandise plans, ensuring profitability and minimal markdown exposure.
- Provide insightful analysis and reporting on product performance, identifying areas for growth and improvement.
- Support and influence strategic decision-making through data-driven insights and forecasting.
About You:
- Proven experience in merchandise planning within a fashion retail environment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
- Analytical mindset with a passion for data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with buying, supply chain, and retail teams.
- Excellent commercial awareness and a strategic approach to stock management.
- Proficiency in merchandise planning tools and Excel.
