Director of Procurement
Venn Group is working exclusively with a leading healthcare organisation to recruit a Director of Procurement who will oversee the development and execution of procurement strategies that drive operational excellence, support patient care, and optimise resources.

Salary: Band 9 (£113,500 - £129,500)
Duration: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 per week
Location: London (hybrid)
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- The strategic leadership and operational management of the procurement function overseeing an annual spend of circa £700 million
- Ensuring the delivery of a high quality, customer focussed, procurement service
- Providing assurance of the procurement service in respect of legal and public sector compliance requirements
- Maintaining appropriate external recognition / accreditation of the procurement service
- Developing and maintaining a long term procurement strategy for the organisation
- Delivering process efficiency improvements at all stages of the procurement cycle through automation, improved category management and effective approval processes
- Leading a talent development programme to build the capabilities of the team to meet the future demands of the service
The successful candidate will have:
- Membership of a relevant professional body e.g. CIPS
- Significant experience in leading procurement teams and managing high value / volume procurement activities
- Demonstrable leadership, staff management and development experience
- In-depth public sector knowledge on procurement legislation and best practice
- Proven record of delivering transformation and financial efficiencies
- The ability to deliver successful complex projects in a multi-disciplinary organisation
