Join one of the UK’s leading providers of affordable housing and care & support services. We are seeking two Category Managers, one for Corporate and one for Property Services, to develop and lead strategic sourcing and purchasing programmes. This role is pivotal in contributing significantly to the delivery of procurement projects and ensuring value for money while upholding compliance with relevant regulations.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Develop and lead specific strategic sourcing programmes for defined categories.
  • Take commercial lead on allocated portfolio of sourcing categories.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial procedures, relevant legislation, and regulatory procurement compliance.
  • Exceed customer requirements by demonstrating best value for money and excellent customer service.
  • Actively manage the marketplace through development of key strategies for supplier and contract management.
  • Support the development of supplier & contract management capabilities within the organisation.
  • Monitor & report detailed expenditure within your defined category, including supplier performance and contract compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Relevant & specialist commercial/industry experience in purchasing & supply in a senior management role.
  • Experience in applying Strategic sourcing methodologies.
  • Advanced negotiation skills and knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of supply chain theory, contract law, dispute resolution, statistical and data analysis.
  • Finance and leasing knowledge, business development, and marketing plans, business accounting.
  • Member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent professional institute, or relevant experience.
  • Degree level qualification (or equivalent) plus specialist procurement knowledge and experience.
