About the Company:

Our client is a well established Tier 1 contractor who operates nationally across the UK. Year on year they go from strength to strength and due to business demands, they are now recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager for their Construction arm.

They cover a variety of sectors including; DFE, BTR, Healthcare, Commercial and Leisure, knowledge of these areas would be a huge benefit. Projects value from £20m up to £100m

As a Senior Supply Chain Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Striking the right balance between cost, service, and risk while developing and implementing category and sourcing strategies tailored to specific spend areas
  • Contributing to the success of the department by aligning category objectives with broader business goals and team strategies
  • Leading and fostering a high-performing team, offering support to Category Buyers and other teams within the Group Procurement function
  • Overseeing the Supply Chain Management team, providing coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback to help them grow and enhance their performance
  • Driving cost-saving initiatives through effective supplier management and contract negotiation, continuously monitoring performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs

This Senior Supply Chain Manager role is perfect for you if you have:

  • Membership in a professional institution, ideally CIPS qualified or an equivalent certification.
  • Extensive experience in procurement, specifically in building products, ideally within the construction or civil engineering sectors.
  • A proven track record of building high-performing teams through dedicated coaching, mentoring, and development.
  • Experience in managing purchasing teams and delivering significant cost savings.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a strong ability to engage with Operational and Commercial Directors.
