I am recruiting for an experienced Supply Chain Specialist / Operations Manager for a fast-growing FMCG client specialising in supply chain solutions and customs clearance. Working with well-known brands such as Coca-Cola, Nestlé, and Ferrero Rocher (to name a few), the successful candidate will manage the supply chain process, including imports/exports from the EU to the UK. This is a remote-working position, ideal for someone who is confident working independently from home. The role is Monday to Friday, working 40 hours per week starting at either 8am or 9am.

Main Duties:

  • Manage supply chain solutions for FMCG companies in the EU and UK.
  • Oversee the export process from the EU to the UK.
  • Use Xero or QuickBooks for invoicing and purchase orders.
  • Prepare export customs documents for road and sea freight from the EU to the UK, using CDS.
  • Act as a communication bridge between the EU and UK clients.
  • Conduct daily Zoom calls with the Director and communicate with clients and suppliers via phone, email and WhatsApp.
  • Manage client accounts, develop new business, and maintain existing client base.
  • Procure stock and manage logistics, including arranging deliveries and liaising with transport companies/partners in Rotterdam and other parts of the EU.

Key Requirements:

  • Logistics management and transport operations experience (preferably road and sea freight) - essential.
  • Procurement and supply chain management experience - essential.
  • Proficiency in using Xero, QuickBooks, or similar systems for invoicing - essential.
  • Experience with CDS for managing customs declarations - essential.
  • Independent, confident, and organised individual capable of working remotely - essential.
  • Experience working in the food/FMCG sectors - desirable.
  • Client account management or business development experience - desirable.
  • Multi-lingual (European languages) - ideal.
