Damp Surveyor

£40 - £42 Umbrella

6 Month Contract

Greenwich, London

We are seeking an experienced Damp Surveyor to conduct full property surveys, with a focus on condensation and damp diagnosis and remedial action.

The Role:

  • Diagnose and assess damp, mould, and condensation issues in residential properties.
  • Apply scientific knowledge of different types of mould and their impact on residents.
  • Utilize specialist equipment for diagnostics and seasonal monitoring.
  • Identify structural causes contributing to damp and specify remedial solutions.
  • Produce drawings & floor plans, diagnose general building faults, and provide improvement specifications.
  • Obtain competitive pricing for remedial works and order works via appropriate systems.
  • Supervise works to completion, ensuring compliance with Council Health & Safety Standards and statutory regulations.
  • Conduct post-inspections, authorize payments, and address invoice queries.
  • Engage in cross-service collaboration and manage external resources to ensure value for the client.
  • Respond to complaints, compliments, and service improvement requests.

The Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a Damp Surveyor in a high-demand environment.
  • Strong knowledge of building structures and their impact on damp-related issues.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
  • Experience in tender/contract procedures and ordering works.
  • Excellent problem-solving and workload prioritization skills.
  • Empathetic approach to working with tenants and property conditions.
