They welcome applications from individuals who share their values of diversity and inclusion and can bring the right skills and attitude to their ambitious team.Role PurposeThe Income Officer is responsible for promoting a payment culture and managing the rent arrears process across all tenures.Knowledge and Skills
  • Drafting and serving NOSPs (Notices of Seeking Possession) and issuing proceedings.
  • Producing regular KPI reports.
  • Good understanding of social housing issues.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of best practices in income management and debt collection.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Housing and Welfare Benefits.
  • Proficient in using Excel spreadsheets and housing management software (e.g., Yardi, Landlord Portal for UC, and Landlord Portal for Housing Benefit software packages).
  • Ability to use initiative in dealing with a wide variety of people.
  • Strong working knowledge of legislation and regulatory requirements relevant to income management for social housing and the private sector.
  • Ability to manage a varied and busy workload to meet targets and deadlines.
  • High level of numeracy and literacy.
  • Understanding of health and safety responsibilities, including lone working.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications and computerized Housing Rents applications.
  • Experience building effective relationships with internal and external partners.
