A leading logistics organisation is seeking an experienced Head of AI to drive innovation and optimise operations through AI-driven solutions. This role offers the opportunity to lead cutting-edge AI initiatives, enhance supply chain efficiencies, and develop predictive analytics models in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
This is a Contract opportunity but has the chance to go Permanent.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute the AI strategy to optimise logistics and supply chain processes.
- Oversee the implementation of AI-driven solutions, including demand forecasting, route optimisation, warehouse automation, and computer vision for asset tracking.
- Lead a team of AI specialists, data scientists, and engineers.
- Work closely with stakeholders to integrate AI into core business operations.
- Ensure compliance with AI ethics, governance, and best practices.
- Stay ahead of industry advancements and emerging AI technologies in logistics.
- Proven experience in a senior AI leadership role within logistics, supply chain, or a related industry.
- Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and optimisation algorithms.
- Hands-on experience with Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and NLP frameworks.
- Expertise in big data processing technologies such as Apache Spark, Databricks, and Snowflake.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and AI/ML services (SageMaker, Vertex AI, Azure ML).
- Knowledge of real-time analytics and IoT integration for logistics automation.
- Familiarity with graph databases, knowledge graphs, and AI-driven decision support systems.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
