About Us:
Were currently seeking an experienced Project Manager/SME within Accounting to join our client, a Tier 1 Bank. If you have strong accounting knowledge, a solid understanding of IFRS, and the ability to navigate technical questions around fund consolidation, this could be the role for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on accounting, IFRS standards, and consolidation processes to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Support the smooth execution of accounting projects, ensuring efficient delivery and compliance with IFRS reporting standards.
  • Organize and manage key project timelines, deliverables, and resources with attention to detail, while ensuring accounting tasks are on track.
  • Ensure the accurate application of IFRS principles in accounting and reporting processes.
  • Contribute to improving processes, helping teams navigate complex accounting scenarios with practical solutions.
  • Maintain organized documentation and track project progress, ensuring key milestones are met.

What Were Looking For:

  • Strong accounting background with a solid understanding of IFRS, financial reporting, and consolidation processes in a banking environment
  • Proven ability to apply IFRS in practical, real-world accounting scenarios.
  • Basic project management skillsability to stay organized, track progress, and ensure deadlines are met without managing complex steering committees or high-level PM tasks.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to navigate technical accounting questions.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
  • Experience with financial reporting (IFRS) in a bank is a must, but experience with insurance and/or fund consolidation would be ideal.
