Reed Secure are working with large public sector organisation who are looking to recruit Technical Project Manager with active DV Clearance

  • Location: SW6 1TR - Hybrid
  • Duration: 6 months with a potential extension
  • Pay rate : £550 per day Umbrella

Job Summary

The NCTPHQ ICT Pillar require a Technical Project manager to undertake activities to progress development of a fully automated tool.

Key Tasks

  • To act as ICT Delivery Manager discharging appropriate activities (e.g. progressing relevant business case development)
  • Own, develop and maintain a project plan and structure throughout each testing stage
  • Produce life cycle artefacts during each stage of the project. The internal lifecycle is loosely based on PRINCE2 and ITIL
  • Produce weekly senior stakeholder project progress reports
  • Produce and own initial key project controls, e.g. RAID logs, governance structure/templates, stakeholder engagement and comms plans etc.
  • Manage risks, issues, dependencies and assumptions, developing contingency plans and taking corrective action when required
  • Produce a project roadmap for design and testing activity
  • Complete User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Interim Build plans when required
  • Support in the progression discovery activity
  • Develop briefing documentation, such as the Service Design Document (SDP) for the purposes of stakeholder engagement and relevant governance boards
  • Provide stakeholder engagement support (including socialisation workshops, governance boards etc.) and update CTP Leadership on progress and key decisions
  • Develop, with business leads, the identified short and long term design options
  • Chair daily and weekly meetings with senior stakeholders, suppliers and colleagues
  • Manage an On-site Team of supplier DBAs
  • Manage a team of Architects, BA's, testers and IT specialists to ensure delivery of the projects
  • Ensure that project milestones are fully quantified, measurable and understood
  • Preparing deliverables for reviews and quality assurance procedures

Experience – Mandatory (M) & Desirable (D)

  • Understanding and knowledge of CT Policing including MPS, National (UK Force wide) and international responsibilities; including a clear understanding of CT Policing relationships to Government, security and intelligence agencies and legislative process including their governance arrangements (D)
  • Experience of working on large scale Business Change and IT enabled Transformation Programmes (M)
  • Experience of working in a complex high profile political environment (M)
  • Experience of working in Central Government (D)
  • Experience of working the Policing sector (D)
  • Experience of working in CT Policing (D)
  • Sufficient security clearance to operate in CT Policing environment and with partners
  • Minimum of 10 Years’ experience working within Central Government projects (M)
  • Must be able to show ability to manage project budgets between £1m and £5m (M)
  • Must be able to show ability to manage multiple suppliers including large IT Service providers (M)
  • Has experience of managing ICT Service engagements (D)
  • Has experience of Mobile Device Management delivery (D)
  • Has experience of engaging end users and Board level executives to manage their perceptions (D)
  • Has experience of preparing Central Government Business cases (D);
