Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Technical & Infrastructure Manager to oversee the engineering aspects of strategic land projects, from initial planning through to delivery. You will play a key role in managing large-scale projects, ensuring infrastructure needs are assessed, budgets are met, and projects are delivered smoothly to regional teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the assessment and planning of infrastructure for strategic land projects, working closely with internal teams and external consultants.
  • Oversee the technical aspects of projects, managing budgets, phasing, and the delivery of infrastructure for developments, including multi-phase residential projects.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of projects, from land acquisition through to detailed planning, ensuring all technical constraints are addressed.
  • Liaise with contracts, technical, and project managers to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and budgets.
  • Oversee and guide external consultants, ensuring all designs meet quality standards and are delivered on time.
  • Collaborate with pre-construction teams to identify value-added opportunities in planning and design.
  • Ensure compliance with quality management processes, including ISO procedures, and manage technical due diligence during land acquisition.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent in a related field (e.g. Civil Engineering, Construction Management) and chartered membership of a professional body (RICS, CIOB, CIAT, RIBA).
  • Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects, ideally within strategic land development.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Commercial acumen with a track record of improving financial returns on large, complex projects.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.

Success Measures:

  • Lead the design, costing, and delivery of infrastructure for new strategic land opportunities.
  • Deliver projects to agreed budgets, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to senior management.
  • Maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance throughout project delivery.
