They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced UK Commissioning Manager to oversee the commissioning phase of their prestigious projects in Central London, ensuring all systems are fully operational and meet project specifications.

Job Overview:
The UK Commissioning Manager will take charge of all commissioning activities, ensuring that mechanical, electrical, and process systems are installed, tested, and commissioned to the highest standards. This role involves close collaboration with design, construction, and operational teams to ensure the successful handover of fully functional systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the commissioning process from planning to execution and final handover.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with design, construction, and quality control teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, industry standards, and client requirements during all commissioning activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during commissioning, ensuring minimal delays.
  • Oversee testing, inspections, and validation of all mechanical, electrical, and process systems to ensure they meet performance requirements.
  • Provide training to operational teams and ensure all commissioning documentation, including reports and system manuals, are maintained.
  • Report commissioning progress and outcomes to project management and key stakeholders.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Significant experience in commissioning management within the construction, engineering, or building services sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and process system commissioning on large-scale projects.
  • Strong understanding of commissioning standards, best practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven track record in commissioning for high-profile sectors such as commercial, industrial, healthcare, or infrastructure.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to work in high-pressure environments.
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, managing time effectively to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related discipline (e.g., HNC, HND, or degree).
  • Membership in professional bodies (e.g., CIBSE, IET) is desirable but not essential.
