My client in Greater London is looking to appoint a talented Director for DDAT on a Contract basis.

The role will be the visionary leader for DDAT, with a strong track record in digital and IT transformation within a complex organisation (Public Sector).

About the role:

Based in Greater London (Hybrid):

  • Leads on digital transformation activities across the councils to enable council departments to optimise their own transformation opportunities
  • Ensure that all digital services meet user needs and adhere to user focused design principles, this includes the management of the Councils' websites.
  • Lead the transformational and operational delivery of Digital & IT services that the organisations rely upon.
  • Leading the delivery of the Councils' data strategy and developing the capability to take advantage of AI technologies.

About you:
You will have the following experiences:

  • Significant experience in leading IT and digital strategies at a senior level, preferably within the public sector.
  • A deep understanding of emerging digital technologies, AI, and data strategy, and their application in local government services.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
  • Proven ability to push AI and data capability while maintaining strong relationships across both councils and external partners such as LOTI and GDS.

What's on offer:

  • Salary: 700-750 per day, inside IR35
