Engineering Supervisor

Central London

Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00

Salary - up to 50,000 + Travel Card

We have an opportunity to work directly on the client side of the facilities maintenance business. We're recruiting for a large book retailer to supervise a team of engineers across approximately 8-10 stores across the City of London. In this role you will spend approximately 2-3 days a week carrying out off the tools administrative works with the other 2 carrying out maintenance and project works. We're ideally looking for a hungry individual looking to progress in their career into management

Our client specializes in books and stationery. They were first initially formed in 1958 and currently have around 311 stores across the UK with over 3,500 employees and an annual revenue of approximately 400m.

As a company they can offer; travel expenses included, life insurance, pension contributions, discount in stores & cafes, 28 days holidays including statutory holidays.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and arranging of all electricalrelated tasks on the site
  • Stepping in for the M&E Manager in their absence and sharing the workload of the site
  • Ensuring all your allocated activities are completed to cost, timescales and appropriate quality standards as required.
  • Arrangement of RAMS
  • Managing the day to day schedules of the engineers
  • Writing of PPM schedules
  • Overseeing small works projects and liaising with specialist contractors
  • Managing the client accordingly and keeping them up to date with site developments

Qualifications / Experience:

  • 18th Edition (desirable) 17th edition considered
  • C&G 2391 Testing and Inspection
  • C&G or NVQ level 2 and 3 in Electrical Installation
  • Good all round M&E knowledge
  • Previous experience in dealing with clients on a day-to-day basis
  • The ability to take ownership of a site and manage workloads
