KM63 - Wet Room FitterLocation – GreenwichSalary – £40,000 Per AnnumOverview:Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to isolate existing supplies, strip out existing bathroom including tiles, floor and sanitary wear
  • Reroute existing or supply new hot and cold supplies , running mains supply for showers, adapting /renewing waste pipes and soil stacks as per designed provided/instructed by Field Operations Manager and /or Supervisor
  • Drain down central heating system as required for radiator removal where applicable
  • Fit a shower tray or former in concrete or timber floor including ability to noggin between joists to suit tray size and achieve positive falls, or
  • Break out screed, prepare surfaces, install gulley and lay new screed, laid to falls
  • Connection of waste via gravity or pump
  • Ability to prepare walls for tiling and/or decorations
  • Tiling to all required areas
  • 1st & 2nd fix on sanitary ware incl. shower
  • Carpentry, boxing out walls, stud work, door re swings, hanging new doors within new and old linings
  • Installation of specialist equipment i.e. grab rails, carer doors
  • Complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds / time served trades person Essential
  • Certificate of Asbestos Awareness Training Essential (will provide)
  • Hot works Training Essential
  • Certificate of Training Achievement for Working at Height, Manual Handling, First Aid (1- Day), or other. Desirable
  • Minimum of 2 years wet room installation /construction site experience Essential
  • Experience in a customer service type role, dealing directly with residents Essential
  • Climbing stairs and roles with a high degree of mobility, i.e. walking/lifting/loading & unloading vehicles Essential
  • Good understanding of verbal and written instructions incl drawings , OT specifications Essential
  • Understanding of and commitment to providing high quality services and customer care Essential
  • Willingness and ability to undertake further training and development related to the role Essential
  • Installation of vinyl safety flooring Desirable
  • Able to work self-supervised Essential
  • Understanding of and commitment to equality and diversity Essential
  • Adept at establishing relationships with all parties involved in the construction process that facilitate harmonious working relationships during project, and permit prompt resolution of problems and conflicts as they occur. Essential
  • Full Clean driving license
