Monday - Friday, 06:00am - 09:00am
Our client is looking for dedicated and reliable Cleaning Operatives to join their Operational Facilities Management team. As a Cleaning Operative, you will play a key role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across our facilities, ensuring that high standards are consistently met.
Cleaning Operative Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as mopping, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, and waste disposal
- Clean and sanitise washrooms, including descaling toilets, urinals, and showers
- Carry out periodic deep cleaning, including fridges and microwaves
- Handle spillages, including bodily fluids, following proper health & safety procedures
- Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained, stored properly, and safe to use. Follow COSHH regulations when using cleaning chemicals.
- Wear and maintain the Haringey Facilities Team uniform and necessary PPE
- Report any faults, safety hazards, or maintenance issues to the Supervisor.
- Attend training sessions and team meetings as required.
What We're Looking For:
- At least 6 months experience in a similar cleaning role.
- Understanding of COSHH and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Knowledge of correct cleaning techniques and colour coding.
- Basic English and Maths skills.
- Commitment to health & safety procedures and the clients policies.
Additional Information:
- DBS Check Required - This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
- Physical Work - The role involves manual handling, working alone, and occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals.
- Flexible Working - You may be required to cover shifts or undertake additional duties when necessary.
