I am currently seeking a Principal Transport Planner to join a well-established transport planning and infrastructure design consultancy that works on a diverse range of projects across the UK. From strategic urban developments and major residential schemes to commercial and mixed-use projects this company provides expert advice to both private and public sector clients.

The role:

  • Project Leadership - Overseeing transport planning projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and managing staff resources effectively.
  • Client & Business Development - Building strong client relationships, securing new work streams, and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Technical Oversight - Approving transport assessments, travel plans, and infrastructure-related documentation.
  • Financial & Commercial Management - Managing project budgets, invoicing, change control, and ensuring profitability.
  • Team Development - Supporting, mentoring, and appraising junior staff to promote professional growth.
  • Regulatory Compliance - Adhering to Health & Safety and CDM regulations where applicable.
  • Expert Witness & Strategic Advice - Providing expert transport planning advice and representing the company in planning inquiries when required.
