This is a seriously weighty Principal Front End position with a supremely well-funded AI start-up based in Zurich. UK home-based with fully expensed (hotel, flights etc) monthly visits to Zurich office.
The Principal Front End role will see you 'in at the start’ working closely with equally senior BE, ML, Blockchain, AI, Data specialists. Plans are in place to scale the business ambitiously from Q2. The framework is complete, and now they need to build the MVP.
It’s a supremely fascinating product and challenge.
You will need substantial commercial experience (5+ years) as a go-to Front End Developer in a technology-led company together with demonstrably strong leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication. You’ll already be on a high salary.

A flavour of the role:
- Develop and implement user interface components using React, Vue.js, or Angular
- Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
- Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers and backend developers to improve usability
- Participate in code reviews and maintain code quality standards
- Stay up-to-date with emerging frontend technologies and industry trends
- Implement responsive design principles to ensure compatibility across devices
- Debug and resolve frontend issues
Requirements:
- Minimum BSc (1st/2.1) in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics; Masters/PhD a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience as a Frontend Developer or similar role within a technology-driven company
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular
- Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with 3D visualization libraries (e.g., Three.js) is a plus
