Audio Visual Design and Projects Engineer - Super Opportunity

Are you an AV professional looking for something a little different? If so, we have the perfect role for you! We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design and Projects Engineer to join our clients expanding team. The purpose of this role is to 'bridge the gap' between the technical pre-sales team and the delivery team, specifically the commissioning engineers, tech leads, and project managers.

The Role:

  • Providing technical and physical support throughout the project delivery process
  • Ensuring project design documentation is completed and delivered to a high standard, technical schematics, architectural CAD drawings & technical information
  • Working closely with pre-sales, project managers, and tech leads to expand technical and design information provided to customers
  • Liaising with customers on design, technical and delivery requirements
  • Producing detail-rich drawing packs with a high standard of technical information
  • Ad-hoc site surveys to ensure faultless project design, both technically and from an M&E perspective
  • Working alongside the Head of technology in the development and deployment of new/updates processes and standards
  • Working alongside the Pre-Commissioning team to undertake the testing of new equipment, mocking up of systems and building product demos
  • Act as the technical designer for all variations and amendments post-handover, facilitating shifting designs as the project(s) develop by specifying relevant equipment and making required design changes

The Person:

As the ideal candidate, you will possess excellent communication skills that will enable you to interact professionally with internal teams and external customers. You will have at least five years of AV installation experience and a solid technical knowledge of corporate AV & UC hardware, including design solutions and physical installation. You will be a creative problem-solver, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues to leverage their expertise when necessary.

As a detail-oriented individual, you will ensure that all aspects of an installation have been thoroughly checked and documented. You will have a commercially minded approach, able to work on project variations and amendments while ensuring that the works are fully costed and profitable for the business.

Additional Information:

  • Please note that the advertised salary is a guide only and is negotiable depending on experience
  • Ideally this role will be hybrid, although don't let this put you off applying as we are open to options
  • The role is full time and permanent
  • Opportunities (plenty of them) for personal development and further training
  • You'll be working with an awesome team of people who will support you in your new role and you'll be working for an employer that encourages progression
  • Lots of additional benefits of working for this company including discounted gym membership, team days out etc
