Field Service Engineer / Customer Engineer
The Package
The working week comprises 37.5 hours, from 8.30am to 5.00pm each working week day, with an hour for lunch.

Salary and Overtime
The Package
Salary: 45,000k + 15% shift allowance (Total 51,750). Overtime is also payable at 1.25 times the contracted hourly rate. An on call allowance of 45.00 is paid for each complete day spent on call. (people in this role earn 60-70k+)
The working week is based on 5 from 7 days where every other weekend is a working weekend.
The standard overtime rate is 1.25 times the contracted hourly rate.
Overtime is paid on a daily basis after 10 hours of work has been completed.
Overtime is paid for any work carried out between 22:00 and 06:00.
Overtime is paid for rest day working and is paid for all hours worked during a rest day.
All tools and instrumentation are provided and maintained by the company.
All PPE and Piller Company clothing is provided.
A company van is provided which is available for private use and is fully expensed if required subject to HMRC taxation rules.
A company pension scheme and private medical scheme are available after a qualifying period.
The company will pay reasonable expenses incurred on company business and provides a company credit card for this purpose.
The company allows 20 days paid annual leave plus bank holidays plus some discretionary days over the Christmas holiday period.
Qualifications
The candidate should ideally have a minimum of NVQ3 OR BTEC3,ONC, HNC, HND or equivalent in Electronic / Electrical engineering with, if possible, a bias towards power electronics but not vital. Knowledge of regulator and logic control systems, rotating machines (Synchronous, Asynchronous motors) power rectifiers and inverter drives would be an advantage.
The Person
The candidate must be a well-presented confident person with good oral and written communication skills. They must be flexible and cope with change at short notice, they should be prepared to work regular weekends and occasional nights and be available to travel countrywide and occasionally to Europe, they must also be prepared to occasionally stay away from home.
The service engineers visits many sensitive financial and government establishments where security requirements can be very onerous. Due to the aforementioned security requirements the candidate must hold a full British Nationality and must have been resident in the UK CURRENTLY and for at least the past 5 years. Screening as part of clearance processes is required by some of our customers so once employed candidates may be asked to submit to credit checks, and unspent criminal conviction (still active) checks through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
The candidate must hold a clean (Preferably) full UK driving licence
