Events Coordinator

Pay: Starting £25,000 per year, with opportunity to rise to £27,000 after probation period

Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00-17:00

Location: London Bridge, office based 5 days a week

Our client is a leading direct sales agency in London, that is experiencing ongoing growth with plans to open up several other offices in the near future. They are currently looking for an Events Booker to join their office based team to help book venues for their sales team to attend.

Responsibilities of a Events Coordinator:

  • Calling warm leads and building relationships with event organisers, venue operators and decision makers at site locations
  • Doing your own research and calling cold leads to generate new venue options for the sales team
  • Building rapport with decision makers
  • Analysing sales data and feedback, to make decisions on whether the sales team should return to a certain venue
  • Creating B2B relationships with sales venues such as shopping centres, exhibition sites, sporting stadiums, events arena’s, supermarkets and any other venues with high footfall
  • Being part of a fun and motivated office team, dedicated to supporting the sales teams and help grow the business and the businesses revenue

Requirements:

  • Adept using Excel and other Microsoft office software
  • Experience in a telephone based role, such as telesales, call centre, recruitment, account manager, Business development role or similar
  • Great telephone manner, energetic personality
  • Comfortable doing high volume of outgoing calls (B2B), people person, easy to get along with
  • Working to deadlines and a high work ethic
  • Highly organised
  • Solution orientated, positive mindset
  • Ability to use initiative
  • Be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
