We are seeking to appoint dedicated Lecturers to deliver GCSE and Functional Skills English within our cross-College provision. This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis and is primarily focused on supporting vocational learners aged 16-18, alongside a growing number of part-time adult learners.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to vocational learners and adult learners, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
- Play a crucial role in supporting learners' development, helping them progress to higher courses or enter the workplace.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced teachers to share and implement best practices aimed at engaging and motivating resit learners.
- Utilise innovative teaching methods and resources to enhance student learning experiences and outcomes.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- A degree in English or a related subject is preferable.
- Experience in teaching or tutoring English GCSE and/or Functional Skills.
- Strong ability to engage and enthuse learners aged 16 to 18 from various vocational backgrounds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- For part-time candidates, availability to work on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays is essential.
