Job Title: Food Technology Teacher
Job Type: Full time, 8am -4pm

Salary: 150 - 200 a day *Depending on experience
Overview
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a SEN School in Islington. You will be expected to teach a small class of SEN students Food Technology along with TA support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food technology education and be committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive food technology lessons to students with a focus on practical skills and theoretical knowledge.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students including those with special educational needs (SEN).
- Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student learning and participation.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure all students receive the necessary support and accommodations.
- Assess and provide feedback on student work to support their development and progress.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- A strong background in food technology education and a relevant degree/ previous experience as a food technology teacher
- Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN) is ideal.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in the classroom.
Day-to-day
As a food technology teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering food technology lessons, providing support to students with diverse needs, collaborating with colleagues, and assessing student work. You will create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported in their learning.
