Functional Skills English Tutor

We are looking for a dedicated Functional Skills English Tutor to join our educational team. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the personal development of learners and support their positive contribution to the community.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver inspiring lessons to raise learners’ expectations and aspirations, encouraging them to take ownership of their learning.
- Tailor both accredited and non-accredited programmes to the needs and interests of the learners.
- Develop personalised learning plans that equip learners with essential skills, knowledge, and behaviours for positive progression.
- Create a supportive learning environment that promotes academic and personal growth.
- Assess learners’ progress, provide constructive feedback, and guide them towards development goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum Level 2 in Maths and English (GCSE grades 9 to 4, A* to C, or equivalent).
- Qualification in the specialist subject area of Functional Skills English.
- Proven track record of effective teaching within the subject specialism.
- Level 5 teaching qualification or equivalent.
- Ability to secure a clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
