Venn Group are working with a Local Authority in London to recruit a Programme Manager to support the development of a new workforce management strategy within distinct service areas.

The Programme Manager will work with each service area to deliver department led workforce management strategies that focus on reducing reliance on agency staff and overtime to deliver services.  

Onsite Requirement: 3 days per week – in London  

Required skills and responsibilities:

  • Work with the service areas to review their workforce management strategies and design a template workforce management strategy for each service area to own
  • Collaborate with colleagues in HR and Finance to ensure the workforce management strategies are aligned with the corporate strategy
  • Develop a full and detailed financial understanding of each service areas approach to the management of workforce
  • Experience delivering similar projects within other local authorities
  • Experience driving programmes forward, and working with operational staff and senior leaders
  • Building relationships across and beyond the council, and ability to influence senior leaders and steer change
