The leading provider of highly customisable trading software used by some of the largest investment banks and hedge funds in the world is now looking for a recent STEM graduate to join their sales engineering team as an Associate Sales Engineer in London.

The role represents an excellent opportunity to gain experience in dealing with high-profile clients, cutting-edge technology and the financial services industry.

This role requires the person to work from their City of London office at least 3 days a week.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the sales team can demonstrate our product's full capabilities and breadth of function across all supported asset classes and workflows. You will be responsible for developing proof-of-concepts for both prospective clients, and in-house subject matter experts. You will collaborate with 3rd party vendors and brokers, to incorporate their services into our product, to ensure we are continuously improving and extending our products. You need to be comfortable working in a dynamic environment: priorities will change as active prospects move at different speeds, and you'll have to turn your hand to a variety of different technologies depending on the task. This variety will provide you with many opportunities to learn both technical skills and business knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product demo environments end-to-end, working with technical teams and product owners to implement new features and prototypes
  • Maintain our cloud-based delivery platform
  • Design, build and deploy tailored solutions for client demonstrations
  • Build out bespoke functionality for prospective clients, as part of a proof-of-concept
  • Formulate business and workflow requirements into technical solutions
  • Use design and development skills to solve complex problems across many different platforms
  • Integrate 3rd party platforms which complement the offerings using new technologies

Requirements

  • 2:1 Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a numerate subject (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics)
  • Technical experience across multiple technologies including C++ and Python
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate solutions to colleagues
  • A passion for technology, and deep curiosity for how things work
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, desire to deliver results
  • Ability to communicate confidently and concisely to both business and technical clients
  • Comfortable in Linux and Windows environments
