SENIOR BOOKKEEPER / CITY OF LONDON (FULLY REMOTE) / UP TO £45K & FLEXIBLE HOURS

We provide full consultancy services to a diverse range of international multimedia producers, including self-publishers, YouTubers, and content creators across platforms like TikTok.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial transactions of the organisation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of accounts payable processes.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Bookkeeper:
- Accounts Management: Oversee all aspects of general bookkeeping, including invoice recording, reconciliation of bank transactions, and financial record keeping.
- Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved.
- Adjustment Entries and Year-End Closure: Handle accounting adjustments, such as accruals and deferrals, and prepare for year-end closure in accordance with HMRC standards.
- Currency Management: Monitor and manage foreign exchange gains and losses, ensuring proper recording and reporting.
- Invoicing and VAT Compliance: Manage invoicing processes and ensure accurate VAT filings and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Audit and Compliance: Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and addressing inquiries.
- Process Optimisation: Identify areas for improvement in financial processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles, including international experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software Xero, is essential.
- Experience managing accounts payable processes is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are required to maintain accurate records.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently within deadlines.
