We are seeking a Behaviour Support Worker to join our dedicated team at a special school committed to supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. Day to Day of the role:

  • Work directly with identified individuals or groups of pupils to help overcome barriers to learning, improve behaviour, and raise achievement.
  • Liaise with parents, appropriate agencies, and the wider school community to support all concerned.
  • Lead the school’s Behaviour Team, implementing strategies and interventions to support pupils’ behavioural and emotional needs.
  • Develop professional relationships with pupils and staff, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of pupils, adapting approaches as necessary to meet their evolving needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs.
  • Ability to develop professional relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Strong communication skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all children.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
